This idea intrigued me as I knew Antwerp well and it was situated very centrally. A few weeks later I went to Antwerp on a reconnaissance trip and stayed with a friend who had just completed a five year rebuilding of an old ship into an eight berth party/cruise ship. To my amazement he offered to host the party on the boat and I accepted with alacrity.
Two month later 22 men gathered on this atmospheric, but very comfortable boat, and fucked their minds out. Because of other commitments I had to leave the boat early the next morning to go back to Amsterdam. Literally an hour after I had left the Belgian media, tipped off by a malicious leather bar owner, descended on the boat! Scenting blood, these vultures arrived with camera crews and the whole episode caused an almighty scandal in Belgium - even making national television! Lucky for them I was not still there - I'm the camera smashing type!
For me this was the writing on the wall and I decided there and then to put an end to the parties. So, if you're coming to Amsterdam and are looking for bareback action please don't ask me where. You'll probably find it in any, and all, the bars that have darkrooms or at private functions but NO organised events. Happy hunting!
